Practical answers before you reach out - if anything else comes to mind, just ask.
Practical answers to the questions people most often ask before their first message - on cost, confidentiality, what a session actually involves, and how to know if this is the right fit. If something is not covered here, just ask.
Your first session is a confidential, no-pressure conversation. We will talk through what has brought you here, what you are hoping for, and whether we feel like a good fit to work together. There is no obligation to continue afterwards.
Individual sessions are £100 for 50 minutes. Joint sessions (couples, or mother-daughter work) are £130 for 50 minutes, or £195 for an extended 75-minute session - often recommended when there are two of you in the room. Get in touch for current, confirmed pricing before booking.
This varies enormously from person to person and depends on what you are working through. Some people find a handful of sessions valuable; others prefer ongoing, longer-term work. We will regularly check in on this together.
Yes. Many of my clients find online sessions just as - sometimes more - effective, since you are in a space where you already feel comfortable. My online practice is my primary offer for exactly this reason.
Yes, entirely. Confidentiality is fundamental to the work. The only exceptions are the standard legal and safeguarding limits that apply to all therapists, which I will explain clearly before we begin.
Yes. I work with individuals, couples, and diverse relationship structures, both online and in person in Jersey.
Both. As a COSRT-accredited psychosexual psychotherapist, I work with the physical and emotional sides of a difficulty together, in the same sessions - sexual difficulties rarely exist separately from everything else going on in a relationship or in someone’s life. You do not need to book a general session first; if intimacy or sexual concerns are what is bringing you here, we can start there directly.
Yes - this is a genuine area of specialist interest for me, particularly ASD, ADHD, and mixed-neurotype pairings, and how they affect communication, intimacy, and relational functioning. This is something I factor into couples and psychosexual work where relevant, not something I treat as a separate add-on.
That is completely normal, and you do not need to be certain before reaching out. A short, informal conversation is often the easiest way to find out - there is no pressure to commit to anything.
Send a message through the contact page. I will reply personally, usually within 1-2 working days, and we will arrange an assessment session before formulating a plan together.
These terms overlap but are not identical. Counselling tends to focus on a specific, often shorter-term issue. Psychotherapy typically goes deeper and can address longer-standing patterns, often over a longer period. Coaching is more forward-facing and goal-oriented, less concerned with underlying causes. I am trained and registered across all three, which means we can move between approaches depending on what actually serves you, rather than being limited to one lens.
There is no minimum commitment. Some people come for a single session to think something through; others prefer ongoing weekly or fortnightly work. We will discuss what feels right for you after the first session, and you are always free to stop, pause, or continue at your own pace.
This is more common than people expect, and it does not mean therapy itself failed you - often it means the approach or the fit was not quite right. I am happy to talk through what did not work previously before we begin, so we can try something different rather than repeating it.
I work with adults. If you are enquiring on behalf of a child or teenager, I am happy to point you toward appropriate specialist services if I am not the right fit.
Yes. Several clients split their sessions between online and in-person in Jersey depending on travel, work, or simply what suits a given week. We can agree whatever mix works for you.
Yes. I offer clinical supervision for students and qualified therapists. Get in touch to discuss current rates and availability.
