Women’s Issues

Specialist support for the challenges women often carry differently - shaped by social and cultural expectations as much as by what has actually happened to you.

Overview

Women and men often face similar struggles, but the experience of them can look very different - shaped by social and cultural expectations as much as by what has actually happened. This is a space to work through what is genuinely yours to carry, without having to translate it for someone who has not walked a similar path. Not everyone dares to look this closely - wanting things to be different takes real courage, and that drive is worth taking seriously.

Common Difficulties

  • Anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, or social phobias
  • Depression, loneliness, and low mood
  • Bereavement and sudden loss
  • Domestic violence, or emotional and physical abuse
  • Pregnancy, unwanted pregnancy, miscarriage, or abortion
  • Menopause and hormonal imbalance
  • Betrayal, affairs, separation, and divorce
  • Family conflict, co-dependency, jealousy, and trust issues
  • Low self-esteem, people-pleasing, and confidence issues
  • Trauma, and life after trauma

Psychosexual Considerations

  • Vaginismus
  • Dyspareunia and vulval or vaginal pain
  • Anorgasmia
  • Low or absent sexual desire
  • Unfulfilled or changing sexual needs
  • Arousal difficulties
As a COSRT-accredited psychosexual psychotherapist, these can be worked through directly alongside anything else going on - you do not need to raise them separately.</div><div class="svc-cred-note">I also hold a special interest in neurodivergent presentations - particularly ASD, ADHD, and mixed-neurotype pairings - and how they shape communication, sensory needs, and connection. This is something I factor in directly, not something you need to raise separately.

“The main thing I was struggling with for almost all my life was the feeling of not good enough. Through the rapport and powerful conversations I had with Agatha, I was able to connect better with my own self and challenge my limiting beliefs.”
